Marine

Vessels without refrigeration systems are currently inconceivable and in many cases even impossible. Then we are not only thinking of cooling and freezing installations but also of air-conditioning, air coolers, water cooling generators, provision cooling systems and ice machines.

Cruise ships

Fishing trawlers

Gas tankers / Off shore

On board of modern cruise ships air-conditioning, provision cooling systems and water chillers are not only indispensable but they also require enormous capacity and turnkey installations.

Herring, mackerel, codfish, plaice, tuna fish or shrimps, each kind of seafood makes its own demands concerning processing and storage. The modern fishing industry would like to be able to measure and know everything on board a ship as far as quality is concerned.

Gas tankers make specific demands on transport. It takes know how, installations and safety precautions to compress and to liquefy gas under high pressure. Without high-grade cooling systems this would be impossible.

Juice carriers

Reefers

Transport by sea of oranges, either ready to drink or concentrated, is a full-fledged in-dustry. The juice carriers are special bulk vessels with tanks that can each hold half a million liters of drinkable juice or concentrate. The required storage life of one and a half to two months can only be guaranteed by using high-grade temperature control.

In case of reefer vessels that primarily transport loads of bananas and citrus fruits it is important to create a climate that stops or slows down the ripening of the fruit during transport. This asks for sophisticated air circulation, humidity, distribution and cooling systems.
